Update - Items are all in the post !....with proof !

Ok so the seller is only 4 weeks late ! After about 70 emails and a lot of chasing around he sent me a photograph of my actual parcel.  I have had to black out the personal details obviously.  This is one of 3 parcels coming to me and all tracking numbers confirm they are racing their way towards me....AT LAST !  I can't wait.....watch this space !

FINALLY....everything seems to be on it's way !

Well it's been almost 3 weeks and ALL my items seem to be on their way (after a wave of delays such as lost in post, flooded house etc)....I dread to think what state the TBS etc are in considering the state of the tripod and screen I first received.

I confirmed with the seller that I shall be receiving :

...and of course a replacement screen !

My first sign of luck with my TBS Discovery ! I now have the tripod lol !

Well I got a nice suprise yesterday when my Tripod with electronics on it turned up to replace the sorry excuse that was sent to me in the first place.  A complete difference this one in terms of quality, size, look and especially since this one has the electronics on it.  Here is a photo of it....

Bank Holiday !....Just what I need when my items are on their way !

Well all my items should be on their way to me at last, 2 weeks later, and it just happens to be a bank holiday !  Great ! I'm gonna be itching for Tuesday to come now lol  At least I have thursday, Friday and Saturday off next week to test run the TBS and upload a video and photo of it for you all to see.....for now I'll keep making myself sick watching everyone else's videos online lol....not jealous ! honest !

Light at the end of the tunnel !

Well after 65 emails !  and a lot of agro over a bombardment of excuses from my delightful seller my wife had enough and told me to get his phone number....which he did to my suprize.  He spoke with my wife after calming down and has assured us 100% that he will be sending all the items we have paid for this week (£1000 worth !).  He has to build another TBS Discovery as the items he posted have all gone missing...even though he sent them with a courier....which we find very hard to believe.  The main thing is that they are on their way....watch this space.

Still waiting for my TBS !

Well I've gone about a week and a half badgering the seller and checking for the postman every 2 minutes and still not TBS.  The seller has agreed to upgrade my Naza-M to a Naza V2 for the inconvenience but I'm still doubting it'll all arrive.  In addition they have said they will send me the proper tripod and screen.....watch this space ! lol

First Delivery......Not good !

So for about a week now I have been itching for my new TBS Discovery kit....today I finally had a sniff of it with my first delivery.  Don't get me wrong the person I bought all this from is nice enough and seems very genuine (but don't they all when you're handing over good cash ?)

The first delivery was sent to me in a plastic bag which was not a great start....here is what I was sent :

The 7 inch screen

The screen etc sent loose in a box...not good.  And notice the empty packet in the middle...no remote !

Can't see it that well but lots of dust and finger prints...we took the chocolate off it already

Completely different tripod, this is cheap and nasty although the photo doesn't show it (this costs £6 online)

So there you go, the first package of 3 or 4 and severely unimpressed as I paid about £1000 for these bits and the rest.  My blood went through the roof and currently awaiting what to do next....might be a refund for everything to be sent back.

New TBS Discovery on it's way....but not so straight forward !

Ok !  So I managed to discuss with my wife about buying a decent quadrocopter etc so I can practise and practise so that I can apply for a job working as an ROAV Pilot.  We agreed £700 for a good one and I managed to win this little lot on Ebay....'all new'....hmmm !

Wow ! Looks great I hear you all say !....well I'm still awaiting the majority of it along with Fatshark Dominator Goggles, Nasa-M, extra batteries and a TBS Discovery case with foam inserts.   Well my next post will show you what I have received so far....not impressed !

New Flight Sim - Phoenix V3....awesome !

Ok so I've been trawling the net for the best deal possible for a RC Flight Sim.  I didn't think I'd buy one from Gumtree as I've been scammed to many times on there....but I did and it arrived safely !  I managed to buy Phoenix V3 for £30 all boxed with the bits all there.  It looks amazing !  I installed it on my laptop and to my amazement Phoenix offer a free upgrade to V4 which is super !  All installed which was very simple to do.  I also to the opportunity to download every model and flight scene they have for free also !

Just starting out my brand new blog and thought I better introduce myself.  My name is Andy (aka Norrie), I'm 32 years old and have a long history of aviation experience on the ground and in the air on various full sized aircraft.  I am just starting out on my Quadcopter ventures to hopefully convert it into a career.
